Brockville Public Library hosting free Naloxone training October 29th

The Brockville Public Library is offering people a chance to learn how to administer potentially life-saving medication to someone experiencing an opioid overdose.

The library is hosting a training session teaching attendees about Naloxone, a drug that can temporarily reverse the effects of an overdose from substances like fentanyl or heroin.

According to library staff, a certified instructor will be there to teach anyone who takes part about the signs of overdose, when and how to use naloxone, and what to do afterwards.

Staff also say the workshop will be free to attend, and you don’t need to register in advance.

If you’re interested in taking part, it’s happening October 29th at 10:00 AM at the library.
