Prescott’s annual Pumpkin Parade returns November 1st

Prescott residents getting into the Halloween spirit will have a chance to show some of their decorations to the rest of the community in a few weeks.

The town’s annual Pumpkin Parade, where RiverWalk Park is decorated with jack-o-lanterns made by residents, is being held on November 1st this year. The Leo Boivin Community Centre has also been selected as an alternate venue, in case it rains that day.

Kids are being encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to the parade. Town of Prescott staff say “live entertainment and refreshments” will also be at the event, but no further details have been announced so far.

It begins at 6:00 PM on the 1st, and will last until 8:00 PM. If you want to have a pumpkin featured in the parade, you can leave it curbside for pickup before 9:00 AM that day, drop it off at RiverWalk Park beginning at 3:30 PM that day, or take it with you to the event.
