Police in Brockville are looking for the driver of a van who failed to remain at the scene of an accident yesterday afternoon. Around 4:30pm Thursday a motorcyclist was leaving the Brockville Shopping Centre parking lot onto Stewart Boulevard to head north. She was sideswiped by a vehicle described as either a silver or grey SUV or van. She was knocked down and injured and her motorcycle spun out across the roadway.
The suspect vehicle fled the scene northbound on Stewart. It was last seen crossing the 401 overpass. The suspect vehicle may have some sort of blue or white paint transferred to the right side of it and it may be scratched. It also has a palm-sized sticker of a round flower in the top right corner of the license plate. Brockville Police would like to speak to any witnesses to this event.
