Local sites of TR Leger schools have been affected by recent budget cuts at the Upper Canada District School Board. The Brockville Foundations campus and Transitions and Foundations programs, currently located at 100 Strowger Boulevard, will re-locate to the TR Leger campus at St. Lawrence College this September.
TR Leger schools in Hawkesbury and Almonte will be affected, with students being redirected to other locations nearby. The Kemptville TR Leger site has escaped the cuts. It will continue to operate out of the Kemptville College campus.
The UCDSB Trustees approved $5.5 million in budget cuts for the upcoming year, including reductions in teaching and educational assistant hours as well as arts programming.
