UCDSB seeking applicants for Special Education Advisory Committee

The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) is looking for new voices to help guide its special education programs.

The board is accepting applications for people interested in joining its Special Education Advisory Committee for its next term.

The committee, which meets monthly in Brockville during the school year, is responsible for “examining, reviewing, and making recommendations regarding the provision of special education programs and services,” according to UCDSB Superintendent of Special Education Jennifer Perry.

“Some areas of focus are beliefs and goals, policies and procedures, organizational structures, program delivery methods, services, funding, and the annual review of the Special Education Plan,” Perry adds.
