Prescott’s Ben Hutton is home for the summer, as hockey players swap their sticks for golf clubs, or fishing rods. It’s a well-deserved rest, for the rookie Vancouver Canuck who posted 25 points his first season with the NHL.
Hutton also has a shiny gold medal that he earned with the Canadian hockey team at the 2016 World Championships in Russia a few weeks ago. He hopes he will be too busy to be on the Canadian team next year, as the Canucks are planning on a playoff spot.
Hutton told local media he is looking forward to some downtime with family and friends over the next two months. The 23-year-old will be heading back to Vancouver in August.
