With candidates finalized for this year’s municipal election, the Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) is looking for more people to apply to help investigate complaints.
The board has extended the application deadline for its Election Compliance Audit Committee to September 19th.
Members of the committee will be responsible for dealing with campaign finance audit requests for candidates running to be their community’s UCDSB board trustee. They’ll be responsible for requests involving this year’s election, and any by-elections between then and November 2026.
Four people will be selected for the committee, with three gaining voting privileges and the fourth expected to replace a voting member if needed. People with backgrounds in law, finance and administration are being encouraged to apply.
