The Dundas Manor Long-Term Care Home’s new location is being detailed soon.
The facility’s workers put out a joint announcement Monday alongside staff from the Winchester District Memorial Hospital, where they say they’re excited for the move.
Staff says a “giant sign” will be installed near the current facility soon showing off the new location.
“While the pandemic has slowed down some of our planning, it hasn’t dampened our enthusiasm,” the announcement reads.
“In fact, we’ve improved the design based on what we’ve learned, particularly related to infection control.”
Staff says the new facility will let Dundas Manor take on 30 new residents, as well as feature larger rooms and more accessible common areas.
According to the announcement, construction on the new manor is expected to start next year.
