Prescott’s Operations Department is reminding residents to drive carefully as it prepares to start some construction in the downtown area.
The town has announced plans to close a portion of Edward Street, for infrastructure installation and repairs at the intersection with Dibble Street.
While the work is being done, Edward will be closed between Henry Street and James Street. A detour will be set up from Churchill Road East to Boundary Street.
“The work is scheduled to take place on Monday July 4th at 7:00 AM to Friday July 15th at 5:00 PM,” the announcement reads.
“As a friendly reminder, please pay close attention to signs and safe routes whether you are driving, walking, or cycling near a construction zone.”
