Winchester District Memorial Hospital relaxing COVID-19 safety measures

Starting next week, you won’t be greeted by a worker asking for proof of COVID-19 vaccination at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH).

Jane Adams, the hospital’s communications lead, says the hospital will switch to asking people to self-screen, using a questionnaire posted at the entrance on July 4th.

“Also on July 4th,” Adams says, “WDMH will be easing its visitor guidelines to allow for two visitors for inpatients.”

Other restrictions for visitors, like needing to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, are staying in place.

You can read a full list of the rules for visiting on the WDMH website.
