TISS scores big at Upper Canada Cup Track & Field Championships

Hundreds of athletes competed Tuesday at the Upper Canada Cup Track and Field Championships in Brockville.

The hosting Thousand Islands Secondary School Pirates won the overall title, but Seaway District High School also had a strong team performance, taking the Grade 8 girls’ championship banner. TISS also scored the Grade 7 girls’, Grade 7 boys’, and Grade 8 boys’ team banners.

Meet Convenor Randy Givogue said organizers are already talking about improvements for next year’s event, including a banner designed specifically for smaller schools.
