History buffs looking for something to do on the long weekend have a chance to be some of the first visitors to our community’s new museum.
The Town of Prescott is holding a grand opening ceremony for the new Museum and Visitor Centre on Saturday.
The museum has been in the works since August 2020. Originally, it was scheduled to open nearly a year ago last Victoria Day, but construction was delayed until the fall.
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the building was held in December as part of the town’s Founder’s Day celebrations.
The grand opening starts at 11:00 AM Saturday. After that, the museum will be open seven days a week, from 11:00 in the morning until 5:00 PM.
