Johnstown “Community Clean Up” scheduled for May 21st

If you weren’t able to participate during “Pitch-In Week” last month, but still want to help keep our community clean, there’s another event coming up you can volunteer for instead.

The South Edwardsburgh Recreation Association (SERA) is organizing a “Johnstown Community Clean Up” day, calling for volunteers to help pick up litter and garbage on the ground throughout the area.

Gloves and garbage bags are being provided by SERA.

The organization has been operating out of Johnstown since 1972, campaigning and fundraising for projects like the community’s public pool, baseball diamonds and tennis courts.

The Community Clean Up event is happening on May 21st.

If you’re interested in taking part, volunteers are being asked to meet up at Corner Park, on the corner of Highway 16 and County Road 2, at 9:00 in the morning.
