If you have a passion for supporting people struggling with their mental health or battling addiction, a local organization is looking for your help.
Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health, a group that supports people in our region, is looking to take on some new volunteers for its Board of Directors.
According to organization member Jane Adams, volunteers will oversee “key areas such as strategic planning, quality, CEO oversight, and financial stewardship.”
“Board members bring a variety of skills to the table, including lived and living experience,” says Roger Haley, the Chair of the Board.
“More importantly, they bring a passion for improving the quality of mental health and addictions care in our region. We are looking for people who want to make a real difference in their community and want to help shape mental health and addictions care.”
Applications are being accepted until May 20th. To learn more or apply, visit the Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health website.
