“Fort Town Night Run” moving to Port of Johnstown for 2022

With less than a month to go before this year’s Fort Town Night Run, the organizers have announced a change in venue.

Publicity Coordinator Julie Larose says the start and finish lines for all the races are moving to the Port of Johnstown.

“Due to circumstances beyond our control related to COVID-19 delays in permits at the Federal level,” Larose says, “Fort Wellington is not available for the 2022 Fort Town Night Run.”

According to Larose, the routes for all the races at the event have been remade to account for the change.

“The 5k run will tour the Port of Johnstown, the 10k Run will pass the Battle of the Windmill site and go up to the Heritage Waterfront Trail, and the 15k will go through the Town of Prescott before returning to the Port,” she says.

Everyone who has already registered for the event has received an email detailing the changes.

The registration deadline was April 1st, but Larose says there are still a few spots available if you want to take part.

The Fort Town Night Run website has ticket prices and registration details.
