Town of Prescott: Pathway lights on Heritage Trail now installed

The next time you go for a nighttime stroll on Heritage Trail, you won’t need to bring a flashlight to see where you’re going.

Mayor Brett Todd says town staff have finished installing lights along the walkway.

“This is something I’ve advocated for some time now,” Todd says, “so I’m really happy that this had the support of the current council and our friends at Parks Canada.”

Todd also says the town worked to make the lights environmentally friendly.

“All lights are fully solar as well,” he says. “They’re also motion-sensing, so they remain on at low power all the time but power up to full strength when someone walks by.”

Todd says more work in the downtown area and along the waterfront is happening throughout the spring and summer.
