Spencerville Mill and Museum seeking public help to create new exhibit

The Spencerville Mill and Museum is looking for people in our community that are willing to share old love letters, wedding clothes, and stories of wartime romance for an exhibit.

The museum is planning its first exhibit of 2022, called “100 Years of Romance: 1920s to 2020s.”

The goal of the exhibit is to showcase how people’s expressions of love and romance have changed over the last hundred years.

In addition to physical items like old wedding dresses or letters, the museum is also looking for people’s stories of things like unusual marriage proposals, long-distance relationships and wedding traditions from different cultures.

Anything you contribute will be returned to you after the exhibit closes.

If you’re interested in sharing your stories or items, the Spencerville Mill and Museum website has details on how.

The exhibit is scheduled to open July 2nd.
