Winchester District Memorial Hospital giving away diamond ring in Mother’s Day fundraiser

If you’re feeling lucky ahead of Mother’s Day, you can enter a raffle being organized at a local hospital for a chance to win a 14-karat white gold diamond ring.

The Winchester District Memorial Hospital is organizing the draw. Entry sales are going towards the hospital’s Family Care Fund, which it uses to replace old and outdated equipment.

Manager of Direct Mail and Events Justine Plummer says the ring is valued at $2,500. “Everyone loves a little bling, and this ring is so lovely,” she says. ““Thank you to Pommier Jewellers [in Cornwall] for this beautiful donation.”

Tickets to enter the draw cost $15 each, or $30 for three, with only 1,200 available. They’re on sale until May 4th, at Sherry’s in Williamsburg, the South Dundas Chamber of Commerce in Morrisburg, Mustard’s Variety in Iroquois, and Chesterville PharmaChoice.

The draw is happening at the hospital on May 6th at noon.
