South Nation Conservation issues Flood Watch, St. Lawrence water levels stable

As rain continues to affect the region, it’s looking like it’s a tale of two waterways.

The South Nation Conservation Authority says they have issued a flood watch as several roads in their region have been flooded. None of these roads are in the Prescott area. However, residents are asked to exercise extreme caution while near rivers as rain and snow continue to impact the region.

However, the situation is different on the St.Lawrence. The International Lake Ontario – St. Lawrence River Board says water levels have only risen on the lower St. Lawrence River, close to Montreal. However, the Board says the flow from Lake Ontario will be adjusted as need be and may be increased in the coming days.
