Our community is making plans to show solidarity with Ukraine, as Russia’s invasion of the country continues.
The Town of Prescott has announced the Ukrainian flag will be raised over town hall in a ceremony on the weekend.
Mayor Brett Todd says he’s wanted to hold this ceremony for several days. “I actually asked staff to order this last week,” he says, “but there’s so much outpouring of support for Ukraine that [flags] were back ordered! Great to see so much Canadian support for our brave allies in Ukraine.”
The flag is being raised on March 5th, at 1:00 PM. The Town says everyone in the community is invited.
