After breaching his statutory release, the OPP says it needs help from the public to find a federal offender on a nationwide warrant.
The offender, Mark Belanger, is currently serving a four year, nine month sentence for Aggravated Assault.
He’s described by police as a 51 year old, six foot tall, 215 pound Indigenous man, with black hair and brown eyes.
OPP Detective Sergeant Steve Sermet says Belanger is known to spend time in Ottawa, as well as in the Greater Toronto Area.
