If you’re feeling creative and live in the Leeds Grenville area, you could win some money by contributing to the 2022 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM).
The event’s organizers are holding a poster design contest, an IPM tradition dating back more than 100 years. People who enter are being asked to create a poster with the theme of “a community showcase of agriculture and rural living yesterday, today and tomorrow.”
Even though the Plowing Match and Rural Expo is being held in North Grenville this year, residents from all throughout the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville can enter the contest.
The winner, chosen by the event organizers, will receive a $1,200 prize. A public “fan favourite” vote will also be held, featuring other entrants, and the winner of that vote will receive $300.
Anyone interested in entering will need to submit an entry form by February 8th. Entry costs $25, but the fee is due on February 15th, the same day your poster design needs to be submitted. For more details, visit the IPM Facebook page.
