The Town of Prescott is reminding residents to avoid parking on the side of the road overnight.
The town says overnight snow removal is being done on January 20th and 21st, to clean roads up from Monday’s winter storm.
The storm, which lasted all day Monday and caused schools across the region to close for the day, saw more than 20 centimeters of snowfall before moving towards Quebec.
The town has a winter parking ban in effect, urging people to avoid leaving their cars on any roads within the town from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The ban will last until the end of March.
Anyone who needs to park their car on the road can apply for a winter parking permit on the Town website.
