The Town of Prescott is receiving more than $500,000 in infrastructure funding from the Ontario Government next year.
The money comes from the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund, a $400-million investment the government is making this year into repairing roads, bridges, and water infrastructure throughout the province. A total of $7,591,584 is going towards Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes.
Steve Clark, the riding’s MPP, is pleased to see the government spending to improve the region. “This investment will help our local communities ensure their infrastructure is safer, more reliable, and will help address the infrastructure needs of this area,” MPP Clark says.
Moose FM has reached out to Town of Prescott Chief Administrative Officer Matthew Armstrong for comment on what the Town intends to spend its share of the money on.
