Augusta Township has announced the winners of this year’s Business of the Year award. At a community breakfast in Maitland on November 5th, the Township announced R & D Dairies as the winner. The Old Stone Hall also took home this year’s New Business of the Year award, honoring businesses founded in the past five years.
R & D Dairies is a dairy distribution company run by local couple Robert and Darlene Jones. The company, established in 2000, handles shipments for companies in Renfrew, Iroquois, and throughout Ontario.
The Old Stone Hall is an online business selling home decorations out of the Old Town Hall in Augusta, run by resident Jamie Harrison. The company mostly operates on Instagram and Facebook, and has no physical storefront.
