Grenville County OPP are investigating a break and enter at a residence in Prescott. Sometime between 3:30pm and 4:30pm last Wednesday, May 25th, someone entered a home on McAuley Road. The homeowner was in the backyard cutting the lawn at the time. Both the garage and front door were left unlocked.
The suspects took jewellery and cash. Police would like to remind residents to secure their homes even when they are in the backyard. Keep valuables out of sight and consider marking them with an engraver. Report any suspicious activity and avoid posting on social media when you will be away from home.
