The town of Prescott has partnered with Agusta Township, the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal, and the city of Brockville to start a new bus route along County Road 2.
Named the River Route, the buses will begin at 5:30 in the morning in Brockville, then make stops at popular workplaces along the route in a two-hour loop. Buses will run for 12 hours a day.
Tickets will cost five dollars each, or 40 dollars in a bundle of ten, and passengers going to Brockville will be able to transfer from a River Route bus to a regular Brockville transit bus at no extra cost.
The route begins on August 30th and will run for six months for the municipalities to see if it makes enough money to continue.
