The Upper Canada District School Board is working to promote respect for First Nations, Metis and Inuit. Last week the board hosted four days of events in gatherings known as “Truth and Reconciliation plus 1”. In total, nine hundred students, along with a number of local dignitaries, took part in the opportunity.
First Nations, Métis and Inuit Knowledge Keepers and Elders engaged with youth throughout the day in workshops which were held in tents set up on the respective sites.
