Health Unit To Move Into Yellow-Protect On Monday

The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is moving into the yellow-protect colour restriction.

The province announced that on the advice of Dr. David Williams, restrictions in theĀ  local health jurisdiction are being strengthened based on the latest modelling data.

The move means restaurants must be closed from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m., with 2 metres distance between tables, maximum parties of 6, passive screening, and guest contact information will be required.

Passive screening will also be done in stores as well.Ā

For organized events at a residence, backyard or park, capacity will be limited to 10 people indoors and 25 outdoors.

Meanwhile, organized events in staffed business facilities will be allowed a capacity of 50 people indoors, and 100 outdoors.Ā 

As for personal care services, passive screening will be done, and guest contact information will also be needed.

For sports and recreational facilities, 50 people are allowed in indoor areas with weights or exercise equipment, with classes limited to 10 people, and outside classes will be allowed 25 people per class.

Other health units that were moved into tighter restrictions include the Northwestern Health Unit (Red-Control), and Lambton Public Health (Grey-Lockdown).

The health unit will be moving into yellow-protect effective Monday at 12:01 a.m.
