An 18-year-old man from Portland is dead after a collision on Highway 15. It happened just after midnight Saturday. A car was southbound on the Rideau Lakes highway when it entered the northbound lane and hit another vehicle.
When police, firefighters and paramedics arrived, the first car was fully engulfed in flames. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second car, a 48-year-old woman from Kitchener, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
