MPP Steve Clark asks government to keep Service Ontario in Kemptville

For the past few days, Leeds Grenville MPP Steve Clark’s phone has been blowing up with complaints from constituents about the planned closure of the Service Ontario office in Kemptville. Clark says the decision just doesn’t make any sense, when the office is always packed and the community is one of the fastest growing in Eastern Ontario.

Clark says the closure, if it goes through, will force people to find their way to a Service Ontario outlet in another community if they can’t access services online. This will prove to be quite difficult for seniors or other people who don’t drive. It will also complicate business transactions for our local car dealers.

Clark has written a letter asking the Minister of Government and Consumer Services to reverse the decision to close the Kemptville Service Ontario office in February 2017. You can add your voice by signing the petition here.
