OPP Reminding Community To Keep OHV’s Off Highways

Residents are being reminded not to drive off-highway vehicles  on highways.

The OPP is reminding you that ATV’s, ETV’s (Argos) or Side-by-Side vehicles with tracks are not permitted along these roads due to regulations in Ontario’s Highway Traffic Act.

The Act details the number of wheels each of these vehicles have.

It also speaks to the fact that the tires of these wheels must either be on the ground, or have no tracks in contact with the ground in order for these vehicles to be allowed on highways.

If you are found in violation of the act, you could face a find of $85, plus additional court costs.
