If you own idle land, South Nation Conservation would like to talk to you.
The SNC is calling on residents across their jurisdiction to consider donating land through its Land Securement Program. The group says that they are also approved to accept gifts through Canada’s Ecological Gifts Program, which they say can provide financial benefits to donors. The SNC says it will use the land to protect forest cover, ensure healthy and safe waterways, and provide land for public recreation. They say they receive over 50 acres of land each year and manages over 13,000 acres in total.
