Growth at the Port of Johnstown is getting a lot of attention of late, with an impromptu visit from a federal delegation last week and another $2 million dollar expansion on the horizon. The port plans to add to its grain capacity with the latest project.
A public walkway is expected to open at the site later this week. An open house event is scheduled for June the 4th.
The port owes its recent prosperity to a $35 million dollar investment from three levels of government that began paying out in 2008.
