Impaired charges for driver who went into restricted area at police detachment

A driver is facing impaired charges after going into a restricted area at a police detachment.

Leeds County OPP say on Tuesday just before 6pm an officer from the Leeds office saw an unfamiliar pick-up truck enter the rear parking lot of the detachment, which is restricted to staff only.

A 51-year-old of Lyndhurst was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80plus)
  • Drive motor vehicle with unsealed container of liquor 

The driver was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Brockville court at a later date.
