Winchester BMO delivers on $7,500 pledge to WDMH

The Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) has gotten another donation from the Bank of Montreal (BMO) team in Winchester.

WDMH says the team recently stopped by the hospital to deliver another $2,500.

“In 2018, the local BMO branch pledged $7,500 to support health care close to home. This latest donation is being directed to the WDMH Foundation’s General Equipment Fund toward the purchase of equipment such as a new X-ray machine.”

The other two donations of $2,500 went to support the purchase of three new electrosurgical generators for the operating room and a new echocardiogram machine for the cardiac care program, according to WDMH.

Omar Abouzaher BMO Regional Vice President, Ottawa East and Western Quebec Market, says they understand the importance of supporting the local community.

“We are proud to support the WDMH Foundation’s General Equipment Fund for the purchase of medical equipment and we extend our very best wishes for the campaign’s every success.”

Cindy Peters, Manager of Direct Mail and Events says over 10,000 patients have had at least one X-ray at the hospital in the last three years.

“We are so grateful to donors like BMO for helping the Foundation purchase equipment that is not funded by the government. What a team!”
