PC Interim Leader Rona Ambrose tours region on Earth Day 2016

PC Party Interim Leader Rona Ambrose took a tour through Leeds Grenville on Friday, accompanied by MP Gord Brown.

Ambrose was introduced to key businesses in the region including Grahame’s Bakery in Kemptville, the Port of Johnstown and the Greenfields Ethanol Plant. She spoke about the many ways businesses can have economic opportunities with environmental solutions. She also planted a pear tree in Prescott’s RiverWalk Park district, in honour of Earth Day, and enjoyed lunch at the Prescott Tim Horton’s.

Ambrose says she was disappointed that the current federal budget did not drop the small business tax rate from 11 to 9 percent, but says her party plans to keep pushing that tax break.
