Premier to ask legislators to extend state of emergency until June

There’s word from the government House Leader this morning that Premier Doug Ford will ask the legislature to extend the declaration to June 2nd. The current state of emergency was set to expire tomorrow (May 12th).

It is expected to pass unanimously tomorrow when a limited number of MPP’s will sit at Queen’s Park for their fourth emergency session since the COVID-19 pandemic began.  It will be the first time Ford will be grilled by Opposition parties during the first Question Period since March.
