The MyView Youth Film Festival submission deadline has been extended to midnight on May eighth.
The contest is open to youth between the ages of 10 and 24 in Eastern Ontario. Youth can choose a topic that means something to them and create a film five minutes or less about it. Organizers say the judging criteria favour the content over production quality, so don’t let being a first time film-maker deter you.
A grand prize of $1,000 from McGahey Insurance and Grenville Mutual Insurance is up for grabs as well as age-category prizes.
Organizers also say the Red Carpet Awards will be adapted this year due to physical distancing. More details will be released about how winners will be announced and how prizes will be delivered.
