Local tourism featured in Emmy-nominated travel documentary

The beauty of our local tourism could help film maker Joseph Rosendo win his fifth Emmy award. Season eight of Rosendo’s Travelscope series features the Rideau Canal and the Thousand Islands region.

The crew takes a tour on the Gananoque Boat Line, enjoys a shore breakfast on a Parks Canada island, learns to make Thousands Islands salad dressing in the kitchen at Boldt Castle and goes fishing. The episode also highlights local bread-making, a farmer’s market and a brewery.

The travel documentary has been nominated for an Emmy in the areas of Cinematography and Sound Editing in the Daytime Entertainment category.
