Multiple domestic situations lead to charges by Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP

The Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP have laid charges after multiple domestic situations took place in the last two weeks.

Police say on April 14th officers responded to a traffic complaint on County Road two in South Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that a domestic situation had occurred in the vehicle and an adult passenger was breaching previous release conditions.

The 25-year-old passenger from Toronto was arrested and charged with fail to comply with conditions of an undertaking. The 25-year-old driver from Mississauga was charged with careless driving, novice driver B.A.C above zero and drive motor vehicle with open container of liquor.

The passenger was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall in July.

Also on April 14th officers responded to a report of domestic situation in South Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that an adult had caused damage to a residence and was breaching previous release conditions. The accused also assaulted a victim.

A 35-year-old from South Dundas was arrested and is charged with assault, mischief and fail to comply with conditions of a probation order.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at Court in June.

Police say last Saturday, officers responded to another report of domestic situation in South Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that an adult had caused damage to a residence and threatened a victim.

A 19-year-old of South Dundas was arrested and is charged with mischief and uttering threats.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Court in June.

Also on Saturday, officers responded to another report of domestic situation in South Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that an adult accused had caused damage to a residence.

A 57-year-old accused of South Dundas was arrested and is charged with two counts of mischief.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at Court in June.

Later on Saturday night police responded to a report of family dispute in North Stormont Township. Investigation revealed that an adult had caused damage to a residence and assaulted a victim.

A 49-year-old of Port Perry was arrested and charged with assault and mischief.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Court in June.

OPP say on Sunday officers responded to a report of domestic situation in South Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed that a couple assaulted one another during an altercation.

A 25-year-old of L’ile Bizard, Quebec was arrested and is charged with two counts of assault.

A 26-year-old accused of South Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with assault.

Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Court in July.
