Opposition members ask for reinstatement of autism programs

Leeds Grenville MPP Steve Clark says the Wynne government is completely out of touch with the needs of parents of autistic children. Last week the Liberals announced they were reducing the wait list for Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) autism treatment, by taking children, 5 years and older, off the list. Some of them have been on that waiting list for years.

Members of the opposition parties stood up in Queen’s Park this week to demand a reversal of the Liberals’ decision to cut the autism services. They want to see those who were on the waiting list reinstated.
