The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is now reporting 93 confirmed cases of COVID-19, as of 2:30pm today.
This represents an increase of 41 new cases since Friday. The Health Unit says that 34 cases are from community transmission, 36 are long-term care residents and 23 are healthcare workers.
Healthcare workers account from 25% of all confirmed cases and long-term care residents represent approximately 40%.
Four people in the region have died from COVID-19, according to the Health Unit, including three long-term care residents and one person from community transmission.
The Health Unit is currently dealing with outbreaks at six long-term care facilities, in Almonte, Carleton Place, Perth and Smiths Falls. There is also a suspected outbreak at Maple View Lodge in Athens, with three residents showing symptoms of COVID-19, but the test results are still pending.
