Local groups partner to bring meals to your door

A pop-up mobile kitchen is launching next week. The South Grenville Food Bank, Windmill Brewery, Prescott Legion and King’s Kitchen have teamed up to deliver home-cooked meals to people during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The pilot project will run for the next three Wednesdays, starting April 8.  

Bonnie Pidgeon Cougler, food bank executive director, says the philosophy has always been to help people in times of crisis. She noted the initiative wouldn’t be possible without the partners, community, donors and volunteers all working together.  

Spaghetti is on the menu next week and people who would like to receive food can contact Cougler directly by calling 613-925-1860 (extension 1) or emailing [email protected]

Cougler explained this is the soft launch and the partners may consider expanding the initiative down the road.
