The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is now reporting 35 confirmed cases of COVID-19, as of 2:30pm today.
This represents an increase of six new cases from yesterday.
The first COVID-19 related deaths in the region were also made public yesterday. The Health Unit says a man and woman, both older with underlying health issues, died from the infection.
The Health Unit is currently dealing with outbreaks at two long-term care facilities, in Almonte and Perth.
The Health Unit is posting daily updates of COVID-19 case numbers on its website.
