One of the most popular topics on the minds of people reviewing the plan for Kemptville College is about how the land will be used. Director of Planning and Development Forbes Symon says the Municipality of North Grenville has no plans to carve off sections of the college property; it is meant to remain whole. That being said, the Municipality has no control over how the Province will carry out the transfer of lands.
Symon emphasized the Province is aware of the Municipality’s interest in acquiring the college property in its entirety. Following council approval, the Municipality will be set to begin negotiations with the Province sometime in May. He says talks could take anywhere from ninety days to nine months.
