A total open-air burn ban is now in place across the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville. The ban came into effect yesterday and will continue until further notice.
It applies to all open-air fires, including agricultural burns, brush piles, burn barrels, campfires, cooking fires, consumer fireworks and other types of outdoor burning.
The ban is a precautionary measure to prevent additional strain on fire services throughout the county during the COVID-19 pandemic.
