First Eastern Ontario COVID-19 case diagnosed outside of Ottawa

The first case of COVID-19 outside of Ottawa has been confirmed in Eastern Ontario. ‘

The announcement came at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14th from Ontario’s Ministry of Health.

A provincial statement says the 30-year old developed the virus in the United States and was treated at Glengarry Memorial Hospital in Alexandria.

She is self-isolating at home.

There are now 103 cases of COVID-19 in Ontario.
