No COVID-19 cases in Leeds, Grenville and Lanark: Health Unit

The Health Unit says the risk of exposure to the COVID-19 continues to be low in the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark area. 

The organization has been monitoring any person who is suspected of having the virus, placing them on home isolation until the test results come back. 

In a statement issued today, Medical Officer of Health Dr. Paula Stewart noted there have been several people tested and they’ve all been negative for COVID-19 at this point.

She says many people are worried about attending mass gatherings and organizers are wondering if they should cancel large events. Dr. Stewart noted this is an evolving situation and people are reminded to use credible courses to stay informed. The most up-to-date stats and information can be found on the Ontario Ministry of Health website.
