OPP officers are investigating a fatal house fire.
First responders were called out to a residence on Slack Road in Athens Township yesterday just before 6:00am.
Police say one person escaped from the home without injury, but 54-year-old Gregory McKay was found deceased inside after the fire was extinguished.
The Office of the Fire Marshall was consulted and the coroner, along with the Leeds County Crime Unit, are assisting. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
